The Musical Talent

Events at the West Townshend Country Store just wouldn’t be the same without our roster of talented musicians. You’re most likely to hear them on Tuesday and Friday evenings, from 5pm to 7pm. Your tipping generosity helps these performers continue to do what they do.

We hope you’ll use this directory to find them at local venues, contact them about your own upcoming events, and follow them on social media.

We’re sure you’ll agree these talented folks help put the word “community” into the West River Community Project, and they are well worthy of our support.

Aura Shards

‍Aura Shards is a world fusion project based in Brattleboro, VT, exploring the enchanting sound of the hand pan accompanied by world percussion and drones. With all original compositions, Aura Shards weaves a big sound that is harmonically and rhythmically complex, while at the same time soothing and meditative.

Old Fashioned

‍Old Fashioned brings to the evening forgotten hits and b-side essentials of the late 1900’s. From Neil Young to Radiohead, The Beatles to Crash Test Dummies, Old Fashioned invites you to revel with him in the comfy classics of the last century, adorned with guitar looping, faux harmonies, and vibey instrumentals. Phish is always on the menu, and some Dead, jazz, and bluegrass as well.  ‍
